Vacancy: Part-Time Marketing Coordinator

Salary: £23,000 – £25,000 Pro Rata (Dependent on Experience)
Hours: Five hours per day (Monday to Friday)

Vacancy overview

Spinks has an exciting opportunity for a well-rounded marketeer to join the fast paced and diverse company, to be based at the Spinks head office in Doncaster.

With three main sides to the business, (Spinks Interiors, Spinks Plumbing & Heating Supplies and Spinks Building Supplies) candidates must be able to demonstrate first class organisational skills and be able to transfer from one task to another with ease.

A full understanding of marketing processes and approach is also key, with the successful candidate boasting 3+ years in the marketing industry either in house or agency based.

The successful candidate will be able to put themselves in the shoes of the end user or trade customer across both sides of the business – working with both B2B and B2C markets.

The successful candidate must both be creative with words and imagery, understand the benefit and impact of social media marketing both organic and paid, how powerful creative designs can be, ensure all branches and showrooms offer the perfect first impressions and deliver key messages across all marketing avenues available.

Candidates must be confident using InDesign for all creative works.

Promotional brochures, posters, point of sale, business cards and other stationery, signage, vehicle livery, social media artwork and adverts as well as ensuring all externally produced marketing meets agreed brand guidelines.

Social Media

The successful candidate will further develop the company’s social media presence, target and develop a custom base for each of the five trade branches (with a 6th coming early in 2019), manage multiple social media accounts across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and having a knowledge of Hootsuite would also be advantageous.

Understanding the use of Facebook advertising and how to build a targeted audience of potential customers is very important.

Point of sale marketing

The vacancy will involve creating compelling advertising campaigns for use on branch trade counters, TVs and to deliver consistent in store marketing.


Complete website control will play a big part in this role, ensuring the company’s two websites are always fully populated and updated regularly with new photography, case studies and relevant content to help with organic search rankings.

Internal marketing

Internal marketing is a very important aspect of this newly created role – internal communication is key to a successful and happy workforce. The successful applicant must be able to communicate with all peers, of all levels.

The successful candidate will ensure all staff members across sites and departments are informed of any company news, new offers and product launches – ensuring complete transparency across the board.

It is also essential the Marketing Coordinator can work closely with the Spinks external marketing agency and other external suppliers.
